About the Role

W Sydney is seeking an Overnight Chef de Partie to contribute to the kitchen operations and provide service to guests throughout the night. The role involves working with quality products, assisting in the culinary department, and a commitment to learning and achieving high standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
• Set-up and break down work station
• Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
• Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food
• Follow 5 star luxury standards and procedures

Requirements

• Available to work overnight shifts (generally 8.30pm/9pm start and 4.30am/5am finish), weekends, and public holidays as needed for business demands
• Must be passionate about food and keen to showcase their ability in fast-paced environment
• Well-developed ability to work independently and as part of a strong, diverse and dynamic team
• Able to communicate and showcase reliability
• Full working rights in Australia
