About the Role

KPMG's Banking and Capital Markets Advisory Practice seeks a Senior Consultant to join their Toronto office. This role focuses on helping banking organizations implement effective operating functions and optimize operations through innovative solutions. The ideal candidate is curious, motivated, and eager to broaden their consulting horizons.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage operational and technical skills to assess, capture, and translate complex business issues for clients.
  • Design, build, develop, and optimize comprehensive business solutions that align with organizational requirements.
  • Act as a strategic project leader to define, orchestrate, and deliver complex projects.
  • Cultivate and deepen relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Guide a diverse team of professionals during project implementation.
  • Gain a deep understanding of client business needs and the banking industry.
  • Contribute to proposals and demonstrations in response to customer requests.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting banking services, data analytics, and/or Finance / Financial Management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and define problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Experience in planning and tracking projects.
  • Comfortable working with executive stakeholders.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to create proposals and presentations.
  • Ability to use analytic tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented while being able to see a holistic and/or broader picture.
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating a collaborative and supportive spirit.
  • Sense of responsibility, motivation to achieve full potential, and understanding of human relations.
  • Open to learning and discovering new sectors and business functions.
  • Willingness to improve and open to listening and/or incorporating different perspectives.
