About the Role

KPMG in Canada is seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant to support their Toronto Team in delivering transformative solutions and building a market-leading practice. This role involves supporting and managing finance transformation projects, optimizing key finance cycles, driving performance through benchmarking and analytics, engaging clients through impactful reporting and change management, leading project teams, and contributing to business development.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage finance transformation projects, including diagnostics, roadmap development, and implementation of improvement opportunities.
  • Act as a business architect to help CFOs shape the next generation of Finance and digital transformation.
  • Lead initiatives across key finance cycles such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Payroll, Acquire to Retire, Project Accounting, Record to Report, and Plan to Perform.
  • Benchmark processes, develop performance indicators, and support ERP selection and implementation, automated consolidation, and financial analyses.
  • Present results, write impactful reports, and assist with change management for optimization and transformation projects.
  • Manage project resources and budgets, ensuring quality delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Cultivate client trust, support business proposal presentations, continuously expand knowledge on KPMG’s offerings, and actively participate in KPMG and industry training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (Accounting major) or equivalent accounting training.
  • CPA designation preferred (CPA, CA; CPA, CMA; or CPA, CGA).
  • 4–7 years of experience, ideally in audit or consulting.
  • Experience working with technology including ERP platforms (Oracle E-Business Suite/Cloud, SAP/SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365), or other finance software (Blackline, Workiva, and other finance automation tools etc.).
  • Outstanding spoken and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is expected (consulting or with insurance organizations), experience with financial institutions more broadly is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Confidence, motivation, and a client-focused mindset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for projects (primarily short trips within Canada, with consideration for family responsibilities).
