About the Role
Lead and oversee the engineering process for special projects, engineering change requests, configurator uploads and maintenance, and engineering notices in alignment with corporate strategies and best practices. This role involves planning, scheduling, estimating staffing needs, reviewing progress, resolving conflicts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and analyze the effects of proposed designs from engineering specials.
- Monitor department performance against goals and report variances.
- Provide technical support to sales by assessing and replying to queries regarding specifications, capacities, and Australian Standard requirements.
- Assess individual skill requirements and organize weekly meetings for project status discussions, issue resolution, and Crown Care requirements.
- Liaise with Crown Engineering in USA, Munich, and Korea for design and cost approval.
- Manage Configurator data input in AS400 and provide accurate costing for special features.
Requirements
- High organizational and communication skills.
- High technical knowledge of relevant systems.
- Good attention to detail.
- Tertiary Degree in Engineering, or at least five years of relevant experience.
