About the Role

This role is responsible for monitoring, triaging, and coordinating vulnerability management activities during after-hours operations, ensuring critical security risks are identified, assessed, and escalated in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the Vulnerability Management mailbox during overnight hours.
  • Review, triage, and prioritize incoming vulnerability alerts, tickets, and requests.
  • Assess vulnerabilities to determine severity, exploitability, and business impact.
  • Validate findings and distinguish between true positives and false positives.
  • Prioritize remediation activities based on risk and organizational impact.
  • Escalate critical vulnerabilities to the appropriate technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate security incidents and ensure seamless handoffs to daytime teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of investigations, actions taken, and escalations.
  • Support continuous vulnerability monitoring and operational coverage across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Vulnerability Management, Cybersecurity Operations, SOC, or Information Security.
  • Strong understanding of CVEs and vulnerability intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of CVSS scoring.
  • Strong understanding of Risk-based vulnerability prioritization.
  • Strong understanding of Vulnerability lifecycle management.
  • Experience with tools such as Qualys, ServiceNow, or similar vulnerability management platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
