About the Role
As a Support Worker, you’ll help people stay safe and comfortable at home by assisting with personal care, providing respite care, helping clients stay active in their community, following care plans, and working collaboratively with the team.
Responsibilities
- Helping with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)
- Providing respite care (giving carers a break)
- Helping clients stay active and connected in their community
- Following care plans to meet each person’s needs
- Working as a team to provide the best support possible
Requirements
- A caring nature – genuinely passionate about helping people
- Certificate in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability
- Good communication skills with the ability chat and listen to clients and team members
- Ability to work independently & comfortable using technology
- Australian working rights
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured car
- A Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to get one)
- Experience in aged care or disability support
- First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to get one)
- A valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.
- Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
