About the Role
Penguin Random House Australia is seeking a commercially minded DK Sales Planning Manager to drive the success of Dorling Kindersley (DK) across Australia and New Zealand. This role involves analyzing markets, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating across departments to achieve commercial results.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and deliver DK's ANZ growth strategy
- Identify new commercial and market opportunities
- Analyze sales trends and performance to inform business decisions
- Support forecasting, budgeting and commercial planning
- Work closely with Sales and Business Development to identify channel growth opportunities
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and the DK global team
- Monitor performance and recommend actions to improve results
- Influence and motivate the sales team to achieve growth targets and improve performance
Requirements
- Commercial curiosity
- Strong analytical skills
- Passion for growing brands
- Experience in sales, category management, business development or commercial planning
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence working with data and insights
- Experience identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills
- Strong planning and organisational capability
- Experience in publishing, retail or FMCG will be highly regarded, although not essential
