About the Role

The Coaching Coordinator will support the team of instructors across New York City Central, managing instructor performance through regular evaluation and performance conversations. This role involves ensuring instructors meet program quality standards and fostering a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Support instructor development through evaluations, feedback, and coaching conversations.
• Communicate seasonal staffing needs and observations to the Executive Director for recruitment planning.
• Screen, interview, and recommend hiring of coaches.
• Develop strong relationships with part-time instructors and identify growth opportunities.
• Create and manage schedules for part-time instructors across different territories.
• Assist in leading regular instructor meetings.
• Support and implement leadership initiatives to reinforce core values.
• Track and report on established performance indicators with the Operations team.
• Conduct weekly meetings with the Executive Director and Operations team to discuss program quality.
• Coach up to 15-20 sessions per week per season, using sessions as training opportunities for instructors.
• Execute sessions that showcase Soccer Shots' mission to new instructors and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 1-3 years of event planning or customer service experience.
• Experience working or supervising part-time employees.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficient in G-Suite and MS Office.
• High character with a positive reputation.
• Warm and welcoming demeanor.
• Great communication skills.
• Extremely organized.
• Hungry, humble, smart, and passionate about personal and professional growth.
• Seasoned local in the NYC Central area, well-versed in various communities and organizations.
