About the Role

The Contraceptive Access Program Manager leads organizational contraceptive access initiatives, including the Emergency Contraception (EC) for Every Body Project, a statewide initiative expanding access to emergency contraception through reproductive health kits. This role provides strategic leadership and program management, overseeing daily operations, inventory systems, partnerships, reporting, and team supervision, and is responsible for advancing the program’s next phase of growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the EC for Every Body Program.
  • Oversee project goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational and grant requirements.
  • Manage inventory systems, supply tracking, fulfillment processes, and quality assurance protocols across statewide distribution channels.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Monitor program performance and produce regular reports for leadership, funders, and stakeholders.
  • Manage budget development, forecasting, expense tracking, and financial oversight in collaboration with finance staff.
  • Oversee website content and customer relationship management systems to ensure accurate reporting and user experience.
  • Support grant writing, fundraising, and other sustainability efforts to secure ongoing program funding.
  • Support contraceptive access data collection and evaluation initiatives to inform program planning in collaboration with the Data department.
  • Collaborate with contractors to design and implement digital outreach strategies, including social media and Google Ads campaigns.
  • Supervise the Communication and Project Coordinator, interns, and volunteers.
  • Lead coordination with community-based organizations that distribute EC kits across Texas.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and advocacy groups.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on contraceptive access and program implementation for internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve operational challenges and improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Program and Policy departments to align contraceptive access strategies with broader organizational initiatives.
  • Contribute to annual grant reports, funding applications, and organizational reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in public health, nonprofit management, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in program management, operations, logistics, or public health initiatives.
  • Experience supervising staff, interns, or volunteers.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple priorities.
  • Experience with inventory systems or logistics is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
  • Certification in project management or process improvement, such as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or comparable credential demonstrating expertise in project implementation and operational efficiencies.
  • Experience in reproductive health, public health, or nonprofit advocacy.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred.
  • Residency in Austin, Texas.
  • Ability to travel within Texas for staff meetings, engagement initiatives, and volunteer events.
  • Ability to travel throughout Texas on an as-needed basis.
