About the Role
Ventia, in partnership with the Australian Defence Force, is seeking a permanent, full-time Fitter to join their team at a state-of-the-art facility in Moorebank, NSW. This role involves undertaking maintenance on specialist Defence equipment, including installation, inspection, repairs, modification, and reconditioning of military armaments and small engines, as well as performing general engineering tasks.
Responsibilities
- Undertake maintenance on specialist Defence equipment.
- Perform installation, inspection, repairs, modification, and reconditioning of military armaments and small engines.
- Perform general engineering tasks.
- Examine detailed specifications to determine job requirements.
- Operate machines to produce or modify required parts or tools.
- Check quality of finished parts.
- Fit and assemble parts.
- Provide technical advice to equipment operators.
- Conduct relevant data entry tasks.
- Repair and maintain miscellaneous equipment including small engines, general service, and marine equipment.
Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain an Australian Defence Clearance.
- Must be a trade qualified Fitter and Turner (Certificate III).
- Hold a current Drivers Licence - C Class.
