About the Role
Join the Sydney Metro Risk and Assurance team as a Health and Safety Assurance Advisor, focusing on verifying risk controls and conducting compliance audits for metro rail infrastructure projects. This role is crucial for ensuring health and safety outcomes in a complex, high-risk rail environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver health and safety assurance, risk control verification, and compliance audits.
- Undertake Risk Control effectiveness reviews.
- Conduct site-based inspections.
- Support incident investigations.
- Contribute to the development of risk control verification plans and safety frameworks.
- Lead the verification of critical health and safety risk controls.
- Drive compliance outcomes in a complex, high-risk rail infrastructure delivery and operational environment.
- Build expertise in rail safety, assurance programs, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Experience working in safety teams on large infrastructure/construction projects.
- Experience in health and safety risk management.
- Experience in regulatory compliance.
- Experience working within complex project delivery environments.
- Ability to form critical relationships with operational stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain a health and safety advisory support role.
