About the Role
As a Warehouse Associate at Appliance World, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of appliances within a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of appliances
- Unload trucks and check the inventory against purchase orders
- Sort and put away merchandise in the appropriate locations within the warehouse
- Pick and pack orders for shipment by using hand-held scanners
- Assemble BBQ Grills
- Operate forklifts and other machinery to move merchandise within the warehouse
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized
- Perform regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear
- Communicate with supervisors and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations
- Work on other tasks assigned by the management
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
- Preferred prior experience working in a warehouse environment or operating machinery such as a forklift
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75-125 lbs.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
