About the Role

Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a skilled EV Technician/Automotive Mechanic to join our team in San Francisco, CA. This is an opportunity to build a career in the exciting and rapidly evolving world of Electric Autonomous Vehicles (EV/AV), maintaining and retrofitting the next generation of fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform service, repair, and maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and integrated systems of electric autonomous vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, A/C, and autonomous vehicle systems.
  • Conduct complex hardware retrofits and AV hardware replacements.
  • Perform software and firmware updates.
  • Collaborate with engineering and service teams to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues.
  • Create repair orders and accurately document work performed, including diagnosis, procedures, and parts used.
  • Participate in fleet-wide hardware and software retrofits.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a strong focus on quality and precision.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with autonomous vehicle technology.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of hands-on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Strong ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, A/C, and AV/EV systems.
  • Experience with complex hardware retrofits and AV hardware replacement.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and automotive shop equipment (impact guns, lifts, jacks, etc.).
  • Solid computer skills with a strong aptitude for learning new technology and software.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to give/receive clear feedback.
  • A learning mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven commitment to safety and high-quality work.
  • Ability to perform physical work including frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and accessing tight or confined spaces.
  • Ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
