About the Role

As a Systems Engineer at Vatic, you will maintain, optimize, and grow the infrastructure powering our low-latency trading and research systems. You will work across servers, networking equipment, cloud resources, and specialized equipment to deliver performance, stability, and determinism. Requirements

Earned or will earn a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field.
At least 3 years of hands-on administration experience in a low-latency trading environment.
Excellent understanding of the Linux ecosystem.
Expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux servers.
Expertise in tuning x86 Linux servers for low latency and deterministic performance.
Understanding of, and experience with management of high precision clock synchronization technologies.
Experience with automating system builds and configuration management tools.
A strong understanding of networking concepts and key protocols (Ethernet, IP, and UDP multicast).
An automation and standardization mindset.
Expertise with RHEL or downstream derivatives.
Experience managing large-scale compute clusters and high-performance distributed storage systems.
Hands on administration with Cisco and Arista network switches.
Exposure to Google Cloud Platform and its multitude of services.
Knowledge of core office infrastructure – MDM, identity, data security, firewalls.
