About the Role
This role sits within the Broker Partnerships Portfolio team, focused on driving engagement from less active brokers through digital channels. It involves educating brokers on ANZ’s products, policies, and processes, and delivering national webinars and supporting statewide broker events.
Responsibilities
- Deliver commercial settlements from accredited Brokers
- Manage a portfolio of less active Brokers
- Lift engagement across key internal and external stakeholders including Brokers, Aggregators, Bankers & Sales Leaders
- Conduct proactive business development activity in line with structured calling strategy to drive growth
- Improve referral and sales volumes from a portfolio of Brokers
- Maintain compliance requirements in terms of Accreditation, Commission, Onboarding and Offboarding processes
- Drive best practices and adhere to non-financial risk (NFR) priorities
- Instill a customer-centric approach in every Broker conversation
- Operate with pace and maintain a consistent operating rhythm across the team
- Educate & upskill brokers on ANZ’s policies and processes
- Coordinate and host monthly national Broker webinars
- Support the organization and preparation of content for statewide Broker events
- Collaborate with Senior Broker Managers to ensure alignment with local Broker strategies and consistent engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Support Broker-referred commercial opportunities via digital channels
Requirements
- Business Development: Partner with Brokers and Aggregators to build relationships and uncover opportunities to drive commercial value
- Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and influence relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
- Strong knowledge of Commercial lending and the Commercial Broker industry; ability to workshop with Brokers and Bankers across commercial and asset finance transactions
- Ability to provide tailored solutions by understanding customers' holistic banking needs and recommending relevant products and services
- Credit assessment and management: Assess, advise, and monitor a customer's credit worthiness, credit risk, and suitable credit structuring options based on internal credit policies, guidelines, scoring models, and/or judgment
- Stakeholder management: Identify, understand, and anticipate stakeholder needs, navigate competing priorities, and foster collaboration to achieve shared objectives
- Influencing and Negotiation: Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and gain commitment from internal and external stakeholders to drive outcomes, overcome barriers, and deliver commercial objectives
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Plan, prioritize, and coordinate activities to deliver business outcomes and strategic objectives, including identifying, tracking, and resolving dependencies while considering impacts across people, processes, and technology
- Risk and Compliance Management: Understand risk and regulatory requirements, including Non-Financial Risk (NFR), conduct risk, and well-managed sales practices; support compliant broker onboarding, ongoing portfolio management, and broker offboarding in accordance with ANZ policies, industry standards, and regulatory obligations
