About the Role
This role sits within the Governance & Legal Department and the Governance Team, reporting to the Head of Governance. You will provide governance and administrative support and assist the Head of Governance on routine governance matters.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain governance systems and records, including templates, authorities and registers.
- Analyze governance data and prepare governance reports.
- Support training and messaging on governance matters.
- Assist the Access to Information Officer to determine informal applications for the release of documents under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.
Requirements
- Administrative experience.
- Demonstrated experience in governance, with experience in the administration of GIPA Act.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Knowledge of, or experience in policy development and administration, delegations, access to information requirements, and privacy legislation and practices.
- Relevant experience working for a local council is desirable.
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
