About the Role

Join Disney Theatrical Group (DTG) as a Creative Venue Technician Apprentice and step behind the scenes of live theatre. This two-year apprenticeship will teach you how large-scale productions are brought to life, working alongside experienced technical professionals on Disney’s iconic shows. It is designed for individuals who are curious, practical, and ready to build a long-term backstage career in theatre.

Responsibilities

Learn how large-scale productions are brought to life.
Work alongside experienced technical professionals on Disney’s iconic shows.
Gain experience in backstage departments including Stage, Costume, Lighting, Automation, Sound, and Puppets.
Choose one department to focus on in the second year of the apprenticeship.
Learn about producing and maintaining live theatre.
Be part of the crew.

Requirements

Must be 18 or over by the start of the apprenticeship.
Must have the right to work in the UK.
Must not already hold an equivalent qualification or degree in a closely related subject.
Must have passed GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4 or above).
Submit a CV and cover letter.
Cover letter should explain interest in Disney Theatrical Group or Theatre, interest in backstage theatre operations, and why Disney should consider you.
