About the Role

Deliver exceptional front-of-house service by warmly welcoming patients and ensuring a professional, positive experience at every interaction. Coordinate appointments, respond to patient enquiries, and manage incoming phone calls and email communications efficiently. Maintain accurate patient records while upholding strict confidentiality and ensuring compliance with privacy standards. Process billing, payments, and health fund claims accurately, while managing referrals, correspondence, and medical documentation. Provide comprehensive administrative support to clinicians, contributing to the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the practice.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical reception or healthcare administration role.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in medical practice management systems such as Genie, Best Practice, Meditech, or Cerner.
  • Committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and professional standards.
  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or have an Australia visa that grants the work rights necessary for the role.
