About the Role
This is a senior-level role with both strategic and operational focus, connecting regional plans with delivery and helping shape integrated marketing programmes that support NZTE’s customer-focused outcomes across Australia and the Pacific. You will translate strategy into action, manage priorities and maintain programme momentum.
Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver integrated marketing, communications and customer programme plans that support regional priorities.
- Lead programme planning, project delivery, budget oversight, process improvement and reporting across key initiatives.
- Act as a trusted MarComms partner and advisor to senior internal and external stakeholders across a complex organisation.
- Connect multiple activity streams into coherent programmes, identifying priorities, reducing complexity and proactively managing risks and opportunities.
- Lead and influence across project teams, workstreams and stakeholder groups, providing guidance, clarity and momentum without direct line management responsibility.
- Ensure all activity reflects NZTE’s brand standards, market needs, customer outcomes and stakeholder expectations.
Requirements
- Commercially minded, values-driven marketing generalist comfortable switching between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
- Ability to balance competing priorities and drive multiple customer-focused programmes in a fast-paced international environment.
- Strong integrated marketing programme capability, sound judgement, and the confidence to influence and engage across a diverse regional network.
- Ability to build credibility quickly, align senior and operational stakeholders, and lead delivery through relationships rather than formal authority.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, with an assertive approach to keep priorities clear, workstreams moving and delivery outcomes on track.
- Strong operational and project management capability, with experience translating strategy into practical plans and delivered outcomes.
- Experience developing and delivering integrated marketing programmes across events, digital channels, communications and customer initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a matrix or complex stakeholder environment, gaining alignment and driving outcomes.
- Budget management, process management and continuous improvement experience, with the ability to simplify complexity and prioritise effectively.
- Strong engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, coach, mentor and support delivery through others.
- Exposure to customer-focused, sales-led or international organisations is valuable.
- Experience in internal communications and media and public relations initiatives is valuable.
- Must possess the right to work in Australia.
