About the Role

The Tuxedo Club seeks experienced, enthusiastic, and customer service-driven Lifeguards to ensure the safety of all members and guests in the pool area.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all members and guests in the pool area.
• Ensure all NYS Health & Safety Standards and Codes are followed by maintaining proper balances of pool chemicals and cleanliness of all aquatic operations.
• Complete daily operations forms for opening/closing of each shift.
• Assist Pool Director with all documentation for NYS and The Tuxedo Club and all ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• Must be able to enforce rules and regulations in a professional manner.
• Team player that is energetic, professional, and has a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work varied shifts which include weekdays, weekends & holidays.
• May need to work in wet or humid conditions, near moving parts, near fumes or airborne particles, in extreme non-weather heat, & in extreme non-weather cold.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands & fingers, reach with hands & arms, talk &/or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, & depth perception.
• Employees must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs multiple times per day, & push a cart weighing up to 100lbs.
• Expect to be on their feet for up to 6 hours at at time.
• Must practice proper body mechanics & use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury.

Skills

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
• Current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED
• Current WSY certification preferred
• 1 year Lifeguard experience preferred
