About the Role

We're looking for an energetic, dependable team member to join our growing breakfast and lunch program. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen while also providing outstanding customer service. You'll prepare our signature bagel sandwiches, help customers at the counter, and ensure every order meets our high standards for quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches according to recipes and assembly guides.
  • Toast bagels and assemble sandwiches quickly and accurately.
  • Portion ingredients and maintain consistent product quality.
  • Stock and organize the sandwich station throughout the shift.
  • Prepare ingredients for service, including slicing, portioning, and replenishing supplies.
  • Assist customers by taking orders, answering questions, and making menu recommendations.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process customer transactions.
  • Keep the kitchen, prep areas, and customer counter clean and sanitized.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist with opening duties, including setting up the sandwich station and preparing for the day's business.
  • Work with the team to maintain fast service while delivering a great customer experience.

Requirements

  • Friendly, positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Previous food service, deli, restaurant, or sandwich shop experience is preferred but not required—we'll train the right person.
  • Must be able to work early morning shifts beginning at 6:00 AM.
