Responsibilities

  • Observe and assist with medication counts.
  • Observe and assist with medication pours.
  • Ensure client appointments are scheduled.
  • Assist in charting of client medical information.
  • Provide medication and wellness patient education.
  • Participate in daily IDD Nursing huddles.
  • Participate in weekly supervision.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a degree program that will grant credit hours for the internship.
  • Must be an associate level nursing student.
  • Prior experience in nursing is a plus.
  • Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and competency at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for moderate periods of time.
  • Able to work in open space floor plan.
  • Must be capable to move throughout the workday and follow individuals.
  • Work alongside individuals within 3 feet.
  • Occasional lifting of > 15+ pounds.
