About the Role

The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees, organizes, and coordinates production efforts to meet manufacturing objectives while ensuring the safe operation of equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, supervise, and direct daily production operations to achieve quality and production goals.
  • Anticipate and resolve production issues such as material shortages, equipment malfunctions, and personnel matters.
  • Manage work hours, materials, and workflow to optimize production efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors regarding product flow and workforce requirements.
  • Coach, train, orient, and motivate employees to ensure safe and effective performance.
  • Manage departmental teams and utilize the hourly certification system for employee development.
  • Participate in the selection and interview process for hourly positions.
  • Appraise employee performance and recommend promotions, transfers, or work assignments.
  • Drive cost reduction, work simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Enforce safety, housekeeping, and company policies, including assisting HR with disciplinary procedures.
  • Lead and participate in company-sponsored training, site projects, and safety programs.
  • Perform administrative tasks including payroll approval and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership experience as a Team Lead or supervisor is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.
  • Ability to supervise in a fast-paced industrial environment.
