About the Role

Responsibilities
- Strong backend engineering experience with JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin preferred)
- Experience with data-heavy platforms and streaming architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, Flink or similar)
- Understanding of patterns like change data capture (CDC), backpressure management, delivery semantics, and building resilient data pipelines
- Proven ability to operate and optimize systems at scale
- Experience designing for high throughput and low latency complex distributed workflows
- Multi-cloud or cloud-native infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, or both)
- Familiarity with deploying and operating services across cloud providers
- Understanding of cloud primitives (S3, object storage, message queues)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code
- Experience building platform capabilities that enable self-service for internal teams
- Handle complex tasks and small projects autonomously, ensuring high quality and proactive communication
- Follow through on commitments, taking ownership of work, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with team goals
- Write high-quality code that is well-structured, flexible, reusable, efficient, and adaptable
- Proficiency in the team's codebase and its associated languages, tools, libraries, idioms, and patterns
- Contribute to code reviews applying the team's high quality standard
- Embrace change, navigate ambiguity, and adapt quickly
- Collaborate with team and others to navigate complex and ambiguous situations
- Actively contribute to decisions impacting the team
- Use data to measure the impact of delivered features
