About the Role
Red Hat is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join their Financial Services Industry (FSI) team. This role involves leveraging extensive IT knowledge and open-source technologies to guide customers in transforming their future architectures. You will act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and IT leaders, addressing core business challenges and supporting transformations in technology, processes, and organizational culture. The position emphasizes adopting new mechanisms and ways of thinking to drive IT operations in rapidly changing Japanese companies, balancing the need for stable, cost-optimized IT with digital transformation initiatives like containerization and enterprise AI.
Responsibilities
- Develop compelling business value propositions and narratives based on financial trends and business needs, presenting Red Hat solutions to management to envision transformation.
- Understand customer's mid-to-long-term business and IT strategies, proposing IT strategies and roadmaps considering financial industry trends, regulations, and challenges.
- Lead account planning with sales teams, linking business challenges to technical solutions.
- Design and propose architectures and processes that balance 'offensive IT' (DX, AI, cloud-native) with 'defensive IT' (efficiency, automation of existing assets), including next-generation infrastructure for AI with governance and security.
- Host discovery sessions and workshops to identify and articulate customer challenges.
- Define optimal Red Hat portfolio solutions (RHEL, OpenShift, Ansible, middleware, AI, etc.) based on customer issues, proving technical feasibility through PoCs and demos.
- Build strong trust with customer CxOs and IT leaders, supporting business transformation decisions from a technical perspective.
- Collaborate with internal and external experts (product development, global teams, partners) to resolve complex technical issues.
- Systematize success stories and technical knowledge, sharing them with domestic and global teams to enhance organizational technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system proposal, consulting, design, and construction for enterprise customers, gained from vendors, SIers, consulting firms, or corporations.
- Excellent ability to build relationships with customer CxOs and department heads.
- Proficiency in customer interviews, discovery, consulting sales, and presentations.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
- Broad knowledge of enterprise technology stacks and architectures, including virtualization, cloud, containers, storage, RDBMS, middleware, ERP, data integration/APIs, high-availability configurations, and AI.
- Proactive mindset for learning and applying new technologies and business knowledge.
- Strong sense of ownership and drive to address customer IT operations challenges and promote change.
- Ability to complete tasks even in difficult situations.
- Empathy for and contribution to an open culture, openly exchanging opinions across hierarchies and sharing knowledge with teams and communities.
