About the Role
Red Hat is seeking an Account Executive for commercial accounts in Tokyo. This role is responsible for driving sales activities within strategic, high-growth accounts, developing and nurturing customers in the assigned territory to close sales opportunities with new and existing customers. You will sell innovative solutions in collaboration with partners as customers evaluate and build their IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Sell Red Hat solutions and services to customers in the assigned territory, including large accounts.
- Visit customers and partners to identify potential opportunities.
- Collaborate with presales and relevant members to create and execute account plans and drive Red Hat's diverse strategies.
- Manage the sales pipeline.
- Liaise with the marketing department to drive the discovery of new customer candidates and key personnel.
- Collaborate with presales to provide technical product information and proposals.
- Manage sales forecasts using the corporate standard CRM tool, support partners in closing deals, and track customer opportunities.
- Lead generation and prospecting for potential customers.
- Develop, execute, and improve solutions tailored to the assigned industry and customers.
Requirements
- Over 8 years of experience in high-touch or partner sales.
- Understanding of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Proven track record in managing sales pipelines, forecasting sales targets, and achieving them.
- Proven track record in executing strategies in collaboration with partners.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build long-term relationships with customers through trust and credibility.
- Motivated and results-focused with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Ability to work within a team and maintain creative thinking.
- Passion for open source technology.
- Business experience or network with major system integrators is a plus.
- Experience selling technical solutions is a plus.
