About the Role

As an App Platform Specialist Solutions Architect on the Red Hat North American Financial Services Industry Sales team, you will be a frontline catalyst, creating possibilities, solving problems, and building customer relationships. You will provide deep technical sales support for the pre-sales work related to OpenShift and the Red Hat Application Services Portfolio, articulating how organizations can leverage the platform for developer productivity and to build and securely deliver applications. Your role involves bringing deep technical expertise to design, implement, and deliver path-to-production solutions, enabling customers to see OpenShift as a proven solution that meets their current and future needs. You will help customers invest wisely in an application platform offering maximum flexibility for faster, more efficient operations and the best TCO. This requires a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, business process understanding, and the ability to create enterprise-level business solutions across multiple technology platforms. Excellent communication and people skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Support the account team in gaining the Technical Win as the Subject Matter Expert for OpenShift and AppServices.
  • Scope and deliver deep dive presentations, custom demos, workshops, and POCs.
  • Answer product questions for written proposals such as Request for Proposals.
  • Provide deep product and solutions expertise and pre-sales assistance with OpenShift and Application Services.
  • Assist in technical strategy approaches for large/strategic opportunities.
  • Serve as technical liaison to their respective Product BUs.
  • Help develop and maintain reusable technical sales assets.
  • Become a trusted advisor within Red Hat's customer base and build solid, lasting relationships with customers, ideally in the Financial Services and Insurance Industries.
  • Provide presales technical support for the development and implementation of complex solutions.
  • Engage with product teams to understand and influence technical roadmaps & recommended practices.
  • Engage with partner ecosystems to strengthen the customer value proposition.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent in supporting enterprise accounts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret customer business problems and technical issues and then effectively explain how a Red Hat solution will address identified challenges, requirements, and business opportunities.
  • Deep knowledge of OpenShift & Application Services products or strong familiarity with Red Hat-related products.
  • Familiarity with Developer Productivity tooling, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tooling, and Platform Engineering concepts.
  • Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions.
