About the Role

Responsible for assisting, providing, and promoting independence with the daily treatment, care, and services of individuals in Residential Programs. Serve as a member of the individuals’ planning, implementation, and Interdisciplinary teams. Assist in implementing individualized residential habilitation services while promoting independence, community inclusion, individualization, and productivity. Respect individual choice, lifestyle, and dignity.

Be flexible to work at any residential location as program and staffing needs change.

Requirements

Must have specialized training - First Aid, CPR, SCIP-R, OPWDD Medication Administration Certification, and CFDS Authorized Driver within the first six months of employment.
Must complete additional program-specific training requirements during the first six months of employment.
Must maintain certifications continuously.
NYS Driver's License required.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of two (2) years of job-related experience, specifically in working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in nursing home or home care settings required.
