About the Role
This role focuses on providing excellent member service, assisting with purchasing decisions, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services. It also involves supporting management by supervising associates, ensuring compliance with policies, and maintaining the sales floor and facility safety.
Responsibilities
- Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs
- Provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology
- Assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and resolving issues
- Promotes the company’s products and services
- Assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned area of responsibility
- Assigns duties to associates, communicates goals and feedback, and trains associates on processes and procedures
- Provides direction and guidance to associates on member service approaches and techniques
- Ensures member complaints and issues are resolved according to company guidelines
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures
- Supports the Open Door Policy
- Participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates
- Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors
- Organizes and maintains the sales floor by utilizing equipment, merchandising, and completing paperwork
- Maintains safety of facility according to company policies and procedures
- Conducts safety sweeps, follows procedures for forklift spotting and handling, and disposes of hazardous materials
- Ensures maintenance of the sales floor and merchandise presentation
- Handles claims and returns, zones the area, stocks, arranges, and organizes merchandise
- Sets up, cleans, and organizes product displays, removes damaged goods, and signs and prices merchandise
- Identifies shrink and damages and secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise
- Monitors food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards are followed
- Oversees the picking and staging of club pickup orders
- Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs
- Collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners
- Monitors progress and results and identifies and addresses improvement opportunities
- Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
- Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools
- Determines customer needs and business priorities, coordinates and executes work assignments
- Provides advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved
