About the Role

You will play a pivotal role in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the engineering consulting sector. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully managing and closing projects, coupled with a strong aptitude for cultivating and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and facilitate new business opportunities.
• Create and deliver proposals including scope, fees, and qualifications for RFPs.
• Develop strong working relationships with clients.
• Assemble and guide consultant teams toward meeting project objectives.
• Oversee the preparation of documentation developed by the technical team.
• Ensure project performance, on-time delivery, and quality standards.
• Manage project financial activities including revenue tracking, invoicing, and receivables.
• Ensure quality assurance processes are completed and meet company standards.
• Track industry developments to ensure delivery of relevant and innovative services.
• Develop and deliver presentations at project meetings and industry events.

Requirements

• Proven experience in business development and project management within the engineering consulting sector.
• Understanding of building design and construction process, codes, standards, and protocols.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
