About the Role
Healthy Minds NYC's Associate Practice aims to train promising clinicians who meet high standards for clinical care, combining therapists' viewpoints with clinical aptitude and evidence-based practices to provide exceptional, culturally competent care for NYC professionals.
Responsibilities
- Perform all therapy sessions, whether in person or via tele-health, on-site.
- Make available a minimum of 16 hours weekly as a part-time employee and up to 40 hours weekly as a full-time employee.
- Require at least eight evening or weekend hours weekly.
- Complete one hour of weekly group supervision.
- Complete two hours of weekly individual supervision.
- Complete one hour of bi-weekly administrative meetings to discuss caseload concerns and administrative details.
- Complete an additional administrative hour bi-weekly for documentation and individual therapist logistics.
- Participate in practice-wide meetings as scheduled.
- Engage with promotional efforts and creation of marketing content.
- Maintain direct communication with the care coordinator as needed.
- Complete all clinical notes within 1 week of session completion.
- Be assigned a caseload screened for a level of clinical severity appropriate for their experience and training.
- Be trained in the use of the EHR and Google suite of products for scheduling, information storage, and tele-health sessions.
Requirements
- Completed a Masters in an accredited program in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or Professional Counseling.
- Approved for a limited permit by the State of New York.
- Provide a copy of resume.
- Provide a copy of educational transcripts for undergraduate and graduate education.
- Eligibility for licensure as a mental health professional in the state of New York.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Compassion and empathy for individuals struggling with mental health issues.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
