About the Role
Urban Egg is opening its newest location on Burnet Road in Austin, Texas and is hiring its opening team. Join us from day one to help create an exceptional dining experience. We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and professional Server who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing outstanding guest service. This tipped position offers an impressive hourly wage and requires weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present features and menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff
- Inquire about any specific food sensitivities or allergies at every table greeting
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing any needs or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables and service areas
- Handle cash and process payments accurately
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Requirements
- Prior serving experience in a full-service restaurant
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Strong communication skills with both guests and team members
- Ability to learn and memorize menu items to make knowledgeable recommendations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset and a willingness to help wherever needed
- Ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic, tactful manner
