About the Role
Urban Egg is opening its newest location and is seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring a positive experience from arrival. This is a tipped position with favorable working hours and a fun, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, working with various reservation systems
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth seating flow
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with special events or large parties as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with to go orders
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
- Previous experience in a hospitality role is a plus
- Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused attitude
- Proficient using guest waitlist and other reservation system technologies
- Ability to manage guest inquiries and provide exceptional service
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Daytime and weekend availability
