About the Role
As a Manager, Strategy & Operations, you will play a critical role in shaping how DoorDash for Business builds its large order fleet, delivery model, and identify new product opportunities to improve our logistics model for these large, complex orders. You will own the strategy for dropoff quality and experience, critical to expanding recurring group order use cases. You will also help identify and evaluate net-new product opportunities that can unlock future growth, including sizing opportunities, understanding customer pain points, validating demand, and partnering with various teams to determine investment areas. Reporting to the GM for Meal Manager, DoorDash for Business, you will work closely with operators, field teams, product, and other teams to make your vision a reality. We are looking for a highly motivated first principles thinker who has a deep sense of ownership and is able to balance diving into details with high-level strategic thinking.
Responsibilities
- Strategize: Understand client needs, prioritize by impact, and create solutions with cross-functional partners.
- Operate: Execute short & long-term plans by working directly with internal and external partners, acting as a cross-functional success enabler.
- Build: Develop and lead 0 to 1 opportunities, creating roadmaps for future large order growth.
- Collaborate: Work across Marketing, Operations, Product, Sales, and Engineering to develop new products and services.
- Construct: Navigate ambiguity and bring structure to undefined opportunities by creating playbooks and templates.
- Analyze: Leverage data to inform hypotheses and align cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in strategy and operations, commercial management, operations, or consulting.
- Direct management experience is preferred.
- High-growth startup (scaling a business from 0 - 1) experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and hitting goals in a complex, fast-moving environment.
- Excellent analytical thinker capable of delivering actionable recommendations from complex datasets.
- Intermediate SQL experience strongly preferred.
- Customer obsessed, comfortable talking and working with people from all walks of life.
- Unafraid of ambiguity; able to dive into difficult problems and create a plan.
