About the Role
RBC Dominion Securities in downtown Toronto is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a growing, fast-paced IA team. The role offers mentorship and skill development opportunities within one of the largest Branches in the system, with vast potential for learning and growth.
Responsibilities
- Impact client experience through execution of client account administration, including account opening, account maintenance and efficient resolution of client requests.
- Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients.
- Manage timelines and key dates for accounts to ensure clients feel supported.
- Become well-versed in internal controls and industry regulatory requirements, ensuring client files and other necessary documentation is accurate, up-to-date and compliant.
- Respond to client inquiries in an understanding and time-efficient manner (account transactions, requests, account documentation, account reporting, etc.).
- Assist the Advisor team in welcoming and onboarding new clients.
- Coordinate and prepare meetings for Advisors with their clients/prospects.
- Provide proactive client service by resolving problems.
- Effectively manage incoming communications from clients, Advisors and other internal and external partners.
Requirements
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the investment field working as an assistant/associate.
- Administrative experience.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task/attention to detail/problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients.
- Experience using Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems (Nice-to-have).
- Completion of CSC and CPH (Nice-to-have).
- Proficiency in Excel (Nice-to-have).
- Post-secondary degree (Nice-to-have).
