About the Role

Support the financial management and decision-making processes of the business by providing financial insights, analysis, and guidance to senior management to facilitate strategic decision-making and improve business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly management accounts and reporting, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Deliver high-quality reports and presentations to Plc Board-level standards.
  • Support annual planning, reforecasting, and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Standardize planning and forecasting processes across Brands, Manufacturing, and Group.
  • Develop and report on KPIs to drive performance improvement.
  • Develop daily and weekly KPIs to monitor and manage operational performance.
  • Build flexible financial models for management assumptions.
  • Leverage business intelligence tools like QlikView and Vizlib for performance analysis.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Vizlib for actual vs budget and forecast analysis.
  • Update competitor analysis schedules and provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain monthly profitability reporting and models by Brand, Region, Customer, and Product.
  • Drive the development and implementation of cost center reporting across the Group.
  • Enhance management information and commercial reporting frameworks to support decision-making.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
  • Ensure visibility and control of costs for sub-divisions within Marketing, IT, and Commercial.
  • Collaborate with Group Reporting and Controlling Functions for financial data.
  • Interpret complex financial information and provide updates to key stakeholders.
  • Support teams with ad hoc financial and analytical queries.
  • Maintain and update ROI schedules for collection appraisals.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand business challenges and influence decision-making.
  • Challenge constructively and support business leaders in identifying performance and profitability improvement opportunities.
  • Review, challenge, and support the development of commercial analysis produced within the finance team.
  • Act as a senior point of review for commercial and financial analysis, providing guidance and coaching.
  • Assist with maintaining banking mandates, reviewing and approving payments, and cash reporting.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business-related degree preferred.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Commercially astute, articulate, and technically strong.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident communicator who can influence, challenge, and engage stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable ability to operate independently and manage a broad workload with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with advanced modelling capability.
  • Strong experience in profitability analysis, business modelling, and performance reporting.
  • Ability to review, challenge, and improve the quality of financial and commercial analysis.
  • Highly motivated with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence.
  • Thorough understanding of financial business principles and practices.
  • High attention to detail, organizational, and planning skills.
