About the Role
The Assembler I is responsible for performing assembly work to manufacture products in a cost-effective and timely manner while fulfilling quality standards. This role involves validating materials, reviewing work instructions, building products to specifications, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Use work instructions, drawings, and schematics to perform assembly while complying with safe operation standards.
- Cross-train in multiple assembly areas and flex to other departments based on business needs.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the products being assembled and their business impact.
- Continuously learn job principles, practices, and processes as changes occur.
- Participate in team meetings to exchange job-related information.
- Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisors.
- Provide basic training to employees on work instructions/standard work as needed.
Requirements
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Regularly required to use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
- Regularly required to stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to stoop, bend, or reach above shoulders.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
