About the Role
JLL is seeking a Residential Maintenance Engineer for a high-end client site in London Mayfair. This role supports the Supervisor and team in maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to meet service level agreements and key performance indicators. The engineer will be an integral part of the established site team.
Responsibilities
- Operate all building systems competently, effectively, and efficiently.
- Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work.
- Complete PPM and reactive tasks, updating the system accordingly.
- Ensure daily tours are completed and report or repair any defects found via the Landlord helpdesk.
- Identify and order necessary materials in a timely manner using the internal Materials Request Form.
- Comply with statutory and company health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
- Implement and record statutory inspections, including fire, access equipment, and water hygiene records.
- Sign off Specialist Service Provider worksheets, inspect work quality, and escalate recommendations.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in plant areas, workshops, stores, and changing/rest areas.
- Operate and troubleshoot building systems including Building Management Systems, electrical monitoring, blind control, air handling, window vent systems, cooling tower plant, domestic water services, fire prevention and detection systems, sprinklers, fire alarm and voice alarm, VESDA, fire suppression, variable speed drives, generators, AC/DC motors, UPS systems, emergency lighting, and high/low voltage switch panels.
Requirements
- Approved apprenticeship or appropriate experience within Building Services.
- Formal qualification in mechanical engineering.
- Experience as an end user of a Building Management Systems.
- Intermediate computer literacy using Windows Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with experience of report writing.
- Previously Pressure systems Authorised Person.
- HND/HNC Qualified.
- Conversant with current Health and Safety legislation relevant to safe working practices.
- Sound administration and organizational skills.
- Reliable and conscientious.
- Pro-active in achieving the highest standard of operation.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a small team of technicians/operatives.
- Well-presented and approachable manner.
- Confidence and commitment to providing a high-quality, professional service.
