About the Role
IK Partners is seeking a Responsible Investment Intern to support the team for a full-time, 3-month internship commencing in September 2026. This role is office-based and offers the opportunity to gain experience in sustainability data, reporting, research, and communication within a private equity context.
Responsibilities
- Support sustainability data collection and reporting processes, including reviewing portfolio company submissions, checking consistency, flagging gaps or anomalies, and contributing to the annual Sustainability Report.
- Prepare responsible investment materials for internal stakeholders, investors, and lenders, covering fundraising, investor requests, lender requirements, internal updates, and meeting materials.
- Conduct desktop research on sustainability regulation, market practice, frameworks, sector trends, and peer approaches, summarizing implications for IK and portfolio companies.
- Prepare and organize sustainability events and training sessions, including portfolio company sessions and the 2027 Sustainability Forum.
- Provide ad hoc support across responsible investment projects, including presentations, meeting preparation, portfolio company follow-ups, and other team priorities.
- Enhance IK’s external responsible investment communications, including updates to the website.
- Develop and implement IK’s sustainability value creation framework, including sector benchmarking, value creation analysis, and portfolio company engagement materials.
- Improve internal responsible investment processes, identifying opportunities for workflow streamlining and AI-driven automation.
Requirements
- Clear and confident communicator, able to present technical topics concisely and engagingly.
- Proficient in PowerPoint with a good sense of layout and visual storytelling.
- Research-minded, capable of conducting desktop research, summarizing reports, and extracting insights.
- Comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative information, identifying inconsistencies.
- Structured and organized, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborative, willing to support a range of projects and contribute to a team.
- Interested in or experienced in responsible investment, sustainability, and/or sustainable finance.
- Eager to learn how these topics are applied in a private equity context.
