About the Role

Assist the Activity Director in planning, coordinating, and facilitating a daily resident activity program to enhance the overall resident experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate stimulating activities programming
  • Create and maintain an active volunteer program
  • Communicate regularly with resident families and the care team
  • Prepare and review the monthly newsletter and activities calendar
  • Lead group activities
  • Document and report resident progress
  • Conduct one-to-one visits with residents
  • Evaluate and reassess activity interventions based on care plans
  • Ensure documentation complies with regulatory standards
  • Report resident responses and progress to the Activities Director
  • Manage care of assigned patients using professional judgment and decision-making skills

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of long-term care or assisted living experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to produce stimulating programs
