About the Role
Guardian is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Data Science Lab (DSL) to build, deploy, and scale agentic AI systems, large language models, and intelligent automation solutions. This role involves collaborating with senior executives to transform business operations and customer experiences through cutting-edge AI research and practical enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Agentic AI solutions to automate business workflows and improve decision-making.
- Apply LLMs and generative AI to process unstructured data including contracts, claims, and medical records.
- Develop autonomous agents and reasoning systems integrated with company platforms.
- Collaborate with data engineers and AIOps teams to ensure model scalability and production readiness.
- Translate research in agentic AI and reinforcement learning into applications for underwriting, claims, and risk assessment.
- Work with product owners and stakeholders to define use cases and measure business impact.
- Build reusable components and frameworks for the Data Science Lab.
Requirements
- PhD with 0–1 years of experience, Master’s degree with 2+ years, or Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML modeling and development.
- Solid understanding of probability, statistics, and machine learning fundamentals.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Familiarity with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and LangGraph.
- Experience with LLMs, generative AI, and multi-step reasoning systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
