About the Role
The Geoscience Course Grader supports the OnRamps Geoscience Earth, Wind, and Fire course (GEO 302E). This role assists with timely and accurate grading of student assessments, provides feedback, and collaborates with the Geoscience Course Manager and grader mentor. The employee also handles urgent projects aligned with the OnRamps mission.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accuracy and consistency while grading course assignments and assessments in Canvas Learning Management System.
- Provides feedback on course assignments and assessments in Canvas Learning Management System.
- Attends calibration meetings and participates in training to align feedback and deepen transferrable skills.
- Assists with seasonal and urgent projects that align to the OnRamps mission.
Requirements
- Current undergraduate or graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Geoscience or closely related major with at least 2 semesters of Geoscience courses.
- Intermediate computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with Canvas LMS.
- Recommendation from at least one professional or academic reference
- Punctual, reliable, responsible, Self-motivated
