About the Role

Partner with key stakeholders to oversee Procurement service delivery, provide advice, and develop procurement strategy to meet business and Procurement needs. Safeguard the organization by overseeing key supplier relationships and ensuring market data operations run reliably and responsibly. Produce clear, meaningful reporting that informs commercial strategies and ensure timely delivery of Market Data products for stakeholders across the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the wider Procurement strategy in collaboration with stakeholders and Procurement domains.
  • Implement the procurement strategy aligned to the bank’s objectives and relevant regulators.
  • Provide expertise on Procurement policies, procedures, third-party risk, sourcing strategy, and supplier relations to business stakeholders.
  • Act as a point of escalation for Procurement service and delivery issues for business stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary interface for Procurement with senior business stakeholders, developing relationships and influence to deliver improvements.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for business cost savings, client experience, service improvement, and Procurement efficiency.
  • Act as the voice of the business with Procurement domains, developing relationships and influence to impact Procurement service delivery.
  • Provide insights and actionable intelligence to business stakeholders to support decision-making and improve the commercial and risk profile of the business.
  • Support the business with strategic activity as the Procurement representative for key business change programmes, acquisitions, and divestments.
  • Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, using professional knowledge and skills to deliver work impacting the business function.
  • Set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance, and determine reward outcomes.
  • Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments.
  • Identify the need for inclusion of other areas of specialization to complete assignments.
  • Identify new directions for assignments and/or projects.
  • Consult on complex issues, providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Perform work closely related to other areas, requiring an understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with other work areas to stay updated on business activity and strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information, including sensitive or difficult-to-communicate content.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Oversee key supplier relationships.
  • Ensure market data operations run reliably and responsibly.
  • Work closely with the Managed Service Provider and the wider MDFM team.
  • Produce clear, meaningful reporting that informs commercial strategies.
  • Ensure timely delivery of Market Data products for stakeholders across the bank.
  • Strengthen operational resilience.
  • Contribute to the delivery of timely, accurate products and insights for senior teams and stakeholders.
