About the Role
Highly skilled and knowledgeable Administrative Staff are vital to the overall success of the Firm, assisting attorneys in meeting and exceeding client needs. The Analyst provides research expertise to support practice areas and business development efforts, including market, industry, and competitor research. This role also involves creating alerts, assisting with attorney training, and providing feedback on new research tools.
Responsibilities
- Retrieve, package, and present information to attorneys, colleagues, and other Firm departments.
- Handle a high volume of routine and complex research requests across all practice areas, including document retrieval, mining websites and other sources, and populating spreadsheets with specified data.
- Create alerts for ongoing monitoring of clients, industries, and events.
- Investigate and assist with the implementation of new technologies and systems relevant to research services.
- Participate in learning programs and orientation cycles for new attorneys.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as required by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years' experience conducting research in a legal or corporate information center.
Skills
- Familiarity with the Firm's portfolio of content such as Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, Deal Point Data, Factset, LSEG, Intelligize, PacerPro, Wolters Kluwer VitalLaw, Capital IQ and more
- Demonstrated ability to instruct/train
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to distill and present research product in a concise, professional manner
- Substantial research skills
- Deep understanding of research strategies

- Willingness to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs
Experience Level
- Minimum of four years related experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Minimum of two years' experience conducting research in a legal or corporate information center
Education Level
- Master's Degree in Library Science required
- J.D., M.B.A., or other advanced degree is a plus
Salary/Compensations
- $110,000 – $120,000
