Responsibilities
- Leverage high skill in writing and user experience design to craft compelling, accurate, and accessible digital content experiences.
- Use appropriate tools, platforms, frameworks, and design systems to create artifacts such as content audits, taxonomy and terminology lists, content guidelines and patterns, content governance models, and microcopy for various digital channels.
- Lead design projects, directing and delegating work for junior team members.
- Build strong partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Mentor and help mature the overall product design practice at Capital One.
- Effectively navigate the needs of partners and stakeholders, leveraging critical-thinking skills that factor in data, research insights, scalability, and tech constraints.
- Ensure the team focuses on customer-centered solutions and inclusive design.
- Demonstrate proficiency with products and processes and apply relevant insights on customers, competitors, and broader market trends to business challenges.
- Shape a shared point of view for your team, partners, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of tech, data capabilities, and emerging technologies to inform work.
- Help your cross-functional team move faster and navigate technical limitations in service of impactful solutions.
- Leverage a rich network of partnerships across lines of business and the organization to foster collaboration and share solutions.
- Incorporate cross-functional perspectives to bridge gaps in information.
- Present work across levels and job functions using a human-centered approach.
- Integrate design frameworks, data, and research insights to articulate a compelling point of view that influences strategic decision-making and direction at senior levels.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in content design, content strategy, or UX writing.
- 6+ years of experience in content design, content strategy, or UX writing.
- 5+ years of experience working with and contributing to an established design system.
- 6+ years of experience collaborating with product, tech, and business partners.
- Experience leading design projects or teams.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Experience working in heavily regulated, data-heavy problem spaces.
