About the Role
The Senior Project & Commissioning Engineer is a technical subject matter expert responsible for managing RNG plant start-up from SAT through full commissioning and operational acceptance. This role involves customer and internal facing responsibilities, coordinating all parties to meet start-up and operational requirements efficiently, and providing leadership to Engineers and Technicians. The position also includes support for individual skid and Balance of Plant controls.
Responsibilities
- Manage RNG plant start-up from SAT through full commissioning and operational acceptance.
- Coordinate activity of all parties to meet start up and operational requirements in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Provide leadership and coaching to Engineers and Technicians.
- Provide individual skid and Balance of Plant controls support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience required.
- 7-10 years of experience with RNG plants in both landfill and biogas settings and/or gas compression and separation equipment and processes in related industries.
- Experience with RNG equipment design, manufacturing, testing, and startup, including demonstrated experience with full plant operation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to 'think on your feet' and resolve issues in the field in real time.
- Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to balance competing interests of customers, contractors, vendors and other parties.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively with other project managers, engineers, and trades.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Able to travel nationwide up to 50%+.
