Responsibilities

  • Drive quality and patient safety initiatives for transplant patients by offering expert consulting, analysis, improvement facilitation, and program management to key internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and enhance programs that uphold high standards in Quality and Patient Safety while focusing on delivering superior care to patients.
  • Research, collect, and analyze critical data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support clients' quality and patient safety initiatives, ensuring they align with the hospital’s strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a healthcare related position, preferably in Quality and Performance Improvement, Organ Transplantation, or Cardiology
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other web-based applications
  • Familiarity with quality and performance improvement methods
  • Master's degree in a related field (Preferred)
  • Clinical Licensure (RN, PA, NP, MD, Nurse Midwife, RD, PT/OT, or PharmD) (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Transplantation or Cardiac Care (Preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) (Preferred)
  • Strong data abstraction and analytic skills (Preferred)
  • Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
