About the Role
As a Maintenance Officer at Anglicare Sydney, you will be key to our mission to enrich lives and strengthen communities. You will undertake general maintenance and repairs to ensure our village facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, completing routine preventative tasks and responsive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Complete general repairs including door and lock repairs, painting, gutter cleaning, basic concreting, minor roofing tasks, and “handyman” work
- Undertake preventative maintenance to maintain assets at agreed service levels
- Keep tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and safety procedures followed
- Represent Anglicare Sydney with professionalism and respect, upholding our values when interacting with residents, contractors, and colleagues
Requirements
- A basic understanding of maintenance, tools, and materials
- A current NSW Driver’s Licence
- Sound computer skills – Word, Excel, and Outlook
- A practical, safety-conscious approach and willingness to follow procedures
- A commitment to upholding Anglicare Sydney’s values of integrity, justice, compassion, and excellence
- Experience working in maintenance roles within residential, aged care, or community settings is ideal
