About the Role

As a Clinical Leader in Practices, your strong ability to lead and guide others will serve as a valuable resource for staff, while facilitating patient care within the Women's Health team.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Practice Triad leadership team to manage day-to-day practice functions and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrates open communication consistent with STAR behaviors and organizational mission/vision.
  • Functions as the clinical resource for LPN, MOA, and Clerical staff.
  • Rounds with purpose on patients, staff, and physicians to identify issues and ensures staff consistently uses AIDET.
  • Resolves issues at the time of rounding and follows up with lead physician and nurse manager.
  • Identifies high-risk patients and ensures their plan of care is current.
  • Recognizes staff for good performance and coaches staff privately when performance is below standard.
  • Initiates counseling and/or assists with the disciplinary action process.
  • Maintains awareness of practice issues, resolves them professionally, and holds staff accountable.
  • Participates in staff selection, ensuring the peer interview process is followed.
  • Is fiscally responsible and participates in practice budget development and management.
  • Responsible for practice pillar goals, working with leadership to achieve patient satisfaction, employee satisfaction, financial, growth, and quality goals.
  • Ensures staff educational requirements are met annually and new practice changes are accompanied by staff competency.
  • Mentors all new clinical staff and acts as an ongoing mentor to practice staff.
  • Completes annual performance appraisals for direct reports.
  • Makes assignments based on patient needs and staff competency, ensuring staff work within their scope.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels and monitors coverage for breaks and meetings.
  • Communicates staffing needs or overages to the Nurse Manager.
  • Evaluates staffing daily and makes staffing decisions using fair and consistent policies.
  • Maintains regulatory compliance in the practice and prepares staff for readiness.
  • Demonstrates understanding of national patient safety goals and ensures team practices within them.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in nursing required.
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse License required.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED) required.
  • Medium Work physical requirements: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

Salary/Compensations

  • $80,753.00 - $110,292.00
