About the Role

St. Camillus is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Staff II to join their team. This role is crucial for maintaining the facility and ensuring a safe and functional environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned tasks and regularly scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Report any unsafe conditions.
  • Use own tools and practice safe tool usage.
  • Respond in a timely manner to work requests.
  • Clean up after maintenance work is completed or at the end of the day.
  • Perform painting, drywall installation/repair, and plumbing tasks.
  • Maintain records on repairs, painting projects, grounds, and building rounds.
  • Prioritize work orders and requests by department.
  • Perform all equipment, building, and office maintenance for the facility.
  • Check climate controls daily to ensure proper heating and cooling.
  • Assist with wheelchair admission preparation and repairs.
  • Ensure repairs are made to electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning units.
  • Initiate changes for energy savings and preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Prepare boilers, air conditioners, and compressors for seasonal change over.
  • Maintain pumps, heating and cooling valves, and boilers in good working condition.
  • Perform monthly load testing of back-up generators and document per policy.
  • Operate and repair various machines and equipment used in facility maintenance.
  • Operate all tools (hand or electric) properly and safely.
  • Operate various motor vehicles for pickup and delivery of office equipment and supplies, ensuring vehicle maintenance.
  • Respond 24/7 to facility emergencies when on call, ensuring on-call coverage is maintained.
  • Monitor building management systems for all buildings.
  • Assist in preparing the physical plant for State Surveys, HUD inspections, and other inspections.
  • Ensure employee injury prevention, follow safety rules, wear PPE properly, and address safety issues with supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years related experience working in a maintenance capacity.
